TOWN OF ORWELL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING on the preliminary budget for the Town of Orwell for the fiscal year 2024.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the preliminary budget for the Town of Orwell, County of Oswego, New York, for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2024 is available and filed in the Office of the Town Clerk in Orwell, New York, where it may be inspected by any person during regular business hours.
FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Town Board of the Town of Orwell, will meet and review said preliminary budget and hold a Public Hearing thereon at said Town at 7 pm on Thursday, November 14, 2023, and at such hearing any persons may be heard in favor or against the preliminary budget as compiled for or against any item or items therein contained.
PURSUANT TO SECTION 108 OF TOWN LAW, the proposed salaries of the
following Town Offices are specified as follows:

The following roads in the Town of Orwell are designated seasonal roads. These roads will not be maintained, and the Town will discontinue snow and ice removal effective December 1st, 2023 until April 1st, 2024.
The roads that will not be maintained are as follows:
• Beecherville Road from County Route 2 to a turnaround at Bill Hort’s camp. A distance of 2.8 miles.
• Carpenter Road from Beecherville Road to turnaround at blacktop. A distance of .675 miles.
• CCC Road from turnaround to reservoir a distance of .415 miles.
• Dam Road from County Route 2 to iron bridge. A distance of 1.585 miles.
• Dam Road from Pipeline Road to iron bridge. A distance of .10 miles.
• Falls Road from turnaround at blacktop to Dam Road. A distance of .56 miles.
• Wright Road from Pipeline to Pine Meadows Road. A distance of .97 miles.

The 2024 budget meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 12, 2023 has been cancelled. The next budget meeting will be Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TOWN OF ORWELL
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Public Hearing will be held by the Town Board of Trustees of the Town of Orwell on the 24th day of October, 2023 at 7:00 P.M. at the Municipal Building, 1999 County Route 2, Orwell, New York 13426, to consider the following:
Adoption of Local Law No. 2 of 2023 which would permit the Town of Orwell to adopt a Town budget for (a) Town purposes (b) any other special or improvement district governed by the Town Board for the fiscal year 2024 that requires a real property tax levy in excess of the “tax levy limit” as defined by General Municipal Law § 3-c.
Copies of the proposed Local Law are on file at the Office of the Town Clerk and may be inspected during regular business hours. Parties may appear at the hearing in person or by agent.

The Town of Orwell is soliciting proposals from qualified professionals to provide clean-up services (trash and junk) for the property located at 92 and 94 Lester Rd in Orwell.
Sealed bids must be received by the Town Clerk’s office, 1999 County Route 2, Orwell, NY 13426 by 4pm on Monday June 12th, 2023. Please mark your response, Attention: Amber Wilson-RFP Enclosed. A minimum of $1,000,000.00 liability insurance is required. Bids will be opened at the June 13th, 2023, Town Board meeting at 7pm.
